A great jacket, coat, blazer, or cartiagn can really make an outfit stand out. Some outerwear is ideal for a more dressy outing and some is more ideal for comfort and warmth.
Having a unique jacket can make a simple outfit stand out even by wearing all black can still look classy and give you a clean look. Some things to look for when buying outerwear are the lining, the lining is very important for fit and for warmth, a good lining shouldn feel nice on the body. The next thing you should look at is any zippers, buttons or snaps on the garment to make sure they work well and will last long. A good outerwear garment may be a little pricey but a good fit and styled jacket can be worn a lifetime.

Style A: Crazy quilted jacket, I made this jacket and this is a very colourful statement jacket, pieces like this with fun patterns or prints are best styled with a simple outfit like jeans or and a plain coloured t-shirt or long sleeve.
Style B: Black jean jacket with woven detail, this jacket is from Zara, jackets like this can be dressed up or dressed down.
Style C: This is a simple jean jacket, from Forever21 is one of the most popular outerwear pieces, new jean jackets may be a little stiff but once worn they will be the most comfortable pieces you can own.
